EcoBaby Chic Organics Review + a Giveaway!

In addition to product reviews, a big part of The Wise Baby is reviewing/featuring great websites and online shops. I am excited to share with you my review of EcoBaby Chic Organics – an online shop dedicated to carrying organic and/or natural fiber (think soy and bamboo) clothing as well as BPA free toys.  Rebecca, the shop owner wrote me and asked me to review the site and sent me two items she carries (which we are giving away – see below for details!)…

Organic Summer Lynx Bubble by Janey Baby

Our thoughts… I was amazed at how soft this little bubble is.  Honestly, it may be the softest cotton I have ever felt.  Size wise Janey Baby seems to run true to size when compared to other 3-6 months pieces of apparel.  The bubble has a super cute peasant neckline and snappable bottom for easy on/off and diaper changes.

The lynx on the bubble is super cute but it also  has a special meaning.  Janey Baby was developed to support the Jane Goodall Institute and the animals pictured on the entire collection of adorable clothing are endangered species.  Proceeds from the sale of these items benefit the Jane Goodall Institute so not only are you getting a well made, cozy piece a clothing you are helping a worthy cause.

I loved the Janey Baby line so much I ordered Eloise two outfits – this and that.

Baby Andi Plush Hippo by MiYim 

Our thoughts… Andi is beyond adorable!  Eloise’s eyes lit up when she saw Andi.  Andi is made of super soft courdroy-esqe fabric that has good texture for tactile development.  Her cute dress is made of organic hemp and presents another different, texture for babies to enjoy.  One thing I really enjoy about Andi is the size – she is small enough for babies Eloise’s size but large enough for older children to carry around and enjoy.  Not to mention, Andi could easily fit among other items in a diaper bag or stroller.

Quite possibly the greatest thing about cute little Andi is that she is made free of any and all chemicals and is made with all organic and natural products.

Okay, back to business here with a few more of our  thoughts about the site…

You have a huge selection to choose from on EcoBaby Chic Organics – not just brand wise by clothing type wise.  There are lots of great footies, onesies, two piece outfits, gowns, etc.  Lots of these items would make fabulous and unique baby gifts as there really is something for everyone.

The detailed description on all brands that are carried is also fabulous especially if you aren’t familiar with some of the brands on the site.  Shopping online doesn’t afford the same “touch and feel” that in store shopping does so it is great to have background on the brands you are purchasing.

On the same note, the lack of “touch and feel” is the only downside of EcoBaby Chic Organics.  I probably  never would have gravitated towards the Janey Baby brand if I didn’t know how wonderfully made and incredibly soft the clothing is.

In general, the site is easy to navigate around and easy to use.  Checkout was simple and I loved that I was able to use PayPal!
